Virgen del Carmen in cross stitch

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, commonly referred to as the Virgin of Carmen, is one of several invocations of the Virgin Mary. Its name comes from the so-called Mount Carmel in Israel, a name derived from the word Al-Karmel or Karem and which could be translated as 'garden'. There are now active Carmelite order spread throughout the world, male and female, which revolve around this figure Marian.
