Materials cross point
- July 4, 2009
For any work we want to make cross-stitch, you need certain materials.
THREAD

They are the main material and one of the most important, there are lots of brands and colors.
The best known are the DMC brand, but there are many others which are cheaper and Anchor, etc.
Each thread has a reference color, which varies depending on the manufacturer or brand. Most patterns come with references DMC, so if you have threads of other brands, there are converters that will help us choose the right colors.
Then we leave a conversion chart to DMC ANCHOR that we believe will be useful.
The threads 6 are formed by finer strands. Generally used 2 with a maximum length of 50cm and it is very easy to tie knots.
It is advisable to use a box to keep the various threads and put them in a cardboard with numbers or even the drawing of the work.
NEEDLES

We can find different thickness, pointed and rounded tips. To work with a fine cloth, use a needle finite, such as a number 8.
PINS

We facilitate the work in establishing the measures and frames our work.
SCISSORS

Any type of scissors can serve, provided they are sharp and cut perfectly. The most convenient to use are the small size of both straight and curved tip.
METRO

We can measure the cloth and take good measurements. It is an important material because it is necessary to adjust before it all to make it exactly as we want.
DEDAL

It is a tool that everyone uses, but hard work on fabrics is esencial.Además we can save some pinchacillo.
FRAME

Two large wooden rings, as seen in the photo, which makes the fabric.
With this, we get this correctly tensioned and therefore our work could be perfect.
Many people may find uncomfortable, so it is up to each use or not.
It was tense on the first ring and then held fixed while passing the second circle and bolted firmly to keep it from moving.
There are different sizes, before knowing which is the required length, you have to know how big is the decorative pattern on each corner and give plenty of 5cm.
